Registration for Classes at CTC

Calgary Board of Education (CBE) students

Please schedule a meeting with your current school counsellor to register for classes at the CTC.

In order to be considered for class enrollment at the CTC, you must be currently enrolled (and for the duration of the course enrollment(s)) at Central Memorial High School or at another CBE High School.

Returning Grade 12's (Currently enrolled in Grade 12 at Central Memorial)

Please complete and bring in an application, in person, at Central Memorial High School. You may be required to schedule a meeting with a counsellor to complete the application process.

If your home high school is not Central Memorial, contact your current school counsellor (must be a CBE High School) to inquire how you can be a Returning Grade 12 and still take classes at the CTC.

Credentialed Programs

Registration for a credentialed program requires an application and enrollment at either Central Memorial High School or another CBE school. Students must also have successfully completed the course sequence leading up to the Credentialed level at the CTC.

For example: Introduction -> Intermediate -> Advanced -> Credentialed

Inquire with your CTC teacher for the criteria used for acceptance in that discipline area.

If you meet the requirements and have passed through the necessary course sequence, please complete and bring in an application, in person to the Career & Technology Centre. Applications for the credentialed programs are listed on the right side of this page and below.

Non-Canadian & International Students

Welcome to Our Diverse and Inclusive Academic Community!

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to non-Canadian students who are eager to embark on an enriching educational journey with us. Our schools are welcoming, caring, respectful and safe environments where students will learn, make new friends, and discover their talents and interests. Students who are not Canadian citizens must register through CBE Welcome Centre, even if they have attended school elsewhere in Canada.

Transferring Between CBE Schools

At the CBE, when you are transitioning from elementary to middle school, or from middle school to high school, you will be automatically registered at your designated school according to your home address. To find out what your designated school is, use our Find a School tool. If you are interested in attending a school other than your designated school, visit CBE'sTransfers page for transfer information. Please note that some schools are quite full and not able to accept all transfer requests.
